There is something about the holidays

which brings magic to the air

I can not tell you from whence it comes

or more than likely from where

I only know that it is exciting

to hear the bells and chimes

that ring out Christmas melodies

and the carolers sing in rhythm and time

Tis fun to see the Christmas lights

Strung up all over town

to go sledding in the snow

pulling up the hills and riding down

To see the children laughing

and sitting on Santa’s lap

and after that picture ordeal

Mom takes them home for a nap

The real reason for the holidays

truly comes from up above

when the child came from a manger

with the message of Peace, Hope and Love
