Happy Holiday Greetings for 2003,

May the Christmas season shine bright for all to participate in love and in Light! The Savior is coming and he is here, Merry Christmas to all and be of good cheer!

This year has found us learning how to deal with semi-retirement, less money and a deep love for each other and our fellow man.

A major part of our year from April through the end of October, we have experienced a major construction project on the road to our house on Fairlawn Rd., which was an annoyance in getting anywhere.

As I was visiting with Mark the other day, I said, Mark, instead of purchasing a lot of expensive gifts for one another this year, why don’t we adopt a family. He said, ok Mom, that would be nice. So that is what we plan to do. After all, what is Christmas if it is not to love and help our fellow man more than ourselves.

Each year, I get together with my friend to bake Christmas cookies if only my family would stay out of them until Christmas or the holidays, we would be doing good! J

Myron and I continue our writings on our website and we share daily devotions with one another which if we forget or skip a day with each other, we really miss it.

I am involved in a Book Club with our church group. We ladies get together and have read some interesting books. Then, we discuss the book. I’m also involved with a Scrapbooking group from church; however, I keep forgetting the meetings so haven’t been to one yet. Guess I better be writing it on my calendar so I can get there once in awhile. As usual, we continue to sing in the choir, and I play my guitar in the contemporary group.

Myron is busy puttering around and trying to finish up working on the huge shed he is building in the back as well as working part time at the downtown YMCA. I work part time at the Southwest YMCA which is close to our home.

The highlight of our year was just celebrating Myron’s mother’s 90th birthday! What a blessing she has been to all of us throughout the years. The whole town showed up and she was delighted to see all of her family and friends to share this milestone with her. She is a true example of Christ’s love and faith to all.

I am going to leave you with a poem (attached) that we received one year from our church president at the time. Enjoy, God Bless and May the true meaning of the holidays be with you all.

Hugs,

Myron and Sally
